Peter Bexte, Potsdam

Dr Peter Bexte is currently visiting professor for history and theory of technical media in Potsdam, European Media Studies (University of Potsdam / University of Applied Sciences Potsdam). In 2000, he has been curator at the Berlin Millennium Exhibition. His publications include a monograph concerning blindness in paintings and the discovery of the blind spot (Blinde Seher. Wahrnehmung von Wahrnehmung in der Kunst des 17. Jahrhundert. Mit einem Anhang zur Entdeckung des blinden Flecks im Jahre 1668, 1999). His research focuses on the triangle of images/perception/media. Forthcoming publications deal with William Gilbert De Magnete (1600) and with a topology of Michel Serres' writings.
